    Title: A Different Lens on Leadership Development

    Description: During this panel discussion, the panelists explore the purpose and gaps in traditional leadership development approaches. This discussion focuses on identifying critical challenges leaders face, emerging solutions, overlooked tools, and promising concepts, while drawing insights from other fields to advance leadership development.

    About our Panelists: 

    Caroline Cochran, PhD, PCC is Founder of TransformAble Coaching and Consulting LLC. She has spent over 30 years consulting and has extensive expertise in assessment design, implementation and validation, leadership development, competency modeling, and 360° feedback. In her current work, Caroline serves as an executive coach, facilitator, keynote speaker, and I-O consultant. In 2023 she co-founded National Women’s Impact Leadership Institute (NWILI), a 10-month, cohort-based leadership program for women in Minnesota. Caroline earned an MA and PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with a supporting program in Measurement/Statistics from University of Minnesota.

    Hannah Foldes, PhD, is a Senior Director of Talent at General Mills. She is an experienced talent leader with 20 years of helping organizations and people grow. Hannah is passionate about leadership development and is known for a thoughtful approach and practical solutions. She is committed to fostering inclusive cultures, accelerating talent readiness, and strengthening succession pipelines to build diverse, high-performing teams. With a focus on impact and authenticity, Hannah is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential. Hannah earned a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with a supporting program in Measurement/Statistics from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

    Dr. Shonna Waters is the CEO and Co-founder of Fractional Insights, where she helps enterprises optimize their human capital investments and assists work technology startups in developing evidence-based impact metrics. Previously, as a founding scientist and Vice President at BetterUp, she built and led interdisciplinary teams that helped the company achieve a $4.7B valuation. Dr. Waters is a SIOP Fellow and distinguished early career award winner. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Statistics from the University of Minnesota and holds an executive coaching certification from Georgetown University. 

    Dr. Erin Eatough is the Chief Science Officer, Co-Founder & Principal Advisor of Fractional Insights. She is an award-winning psychologist, author, and advisor specializing in employee well-being, leadership development, and work-life integration. Her research on workplace thriving has been widely published, with over 30 peer-reviewed academic articles and book contributions to her name. She is also an Adjunct Professor in the CUNY Graduate Program, where she teaches in the Industrial-Organizational Psychology PhD program.
